I LOVE my Bosch Stand Mixer. I’ve had mine for many, many years and I use it ALL the time. In fact, I don’t know how I’d get along without it. I highly recommend this mixer if you want to make dough for pizza, bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, or dinner rolls.
I love it because it’s:
- Easy to use
- Makes big batches

I’ve dropped my mixer more than once. It has a chip out of the bowl, but it just keeps on keeping on. It’s a tough mixer to have gone through all my kids and now my grandkids.
I make pizza almost every week. Sometimes, I make enough dough for 6 large pizzas.
I’ve made banana bread, french bread, wheat bread, and rolls using this mixer and it continues to work as well as it did the day I bought it.
You can wipe it with a damp cloth to remove food particles. BEWARE: you cannot place the bowl, the lid, or the dough hook (metal mixing arm) in the dishwasher, This is very important!! Do not try it. The dishwasher will warp the bowl and lid. Putting the metal dough hook in the dishwasher causes it to oxidize.
I thought it wouldn’t hurt to put the dough hook in the dishwasher and when I used it to make dough, it left dark marks in my dough. When I inspected it, I noticed that if I wiped the metal, a dark color came off on the cloth. I cleaned it thoroughly after that and removed the residue. I’ve since always hand washed it and never had another problem with dough discoloration.
If you hand wash the bowl, lid, and dough hook, it will last for years and years.
Downside of the Mixer
Mine came with a double “cookie” mixing head. I used it a few times before it snapped in half. I thought about replacing it, but decided that I could use the dough hook to make cookie dough, so I didn’t replace it.
I think the cookie mixer attachment just wasn’t heavy-duty enough for the cookie dough I was mixing, but I felt like it should have lasted longer than it did.
I noticed on the new model, the cookie beaters are separate.
It can also be a pain to hand wash it every time you use it. For some reason, my kids can load and unload the dishwasher but cannot hand wash any dishes next to the sink.
I recommend washing it right away so the dough doesn’t get stuck in the crevices of the mixing bowl.
Even with the cookie attachment breaking and having to hand wash it, I still highly recommend this Bosch mixer. It is a staple in my kitchen and I love it. I use it multiple times a week.
It is expensive (almost $400), but I’ve never regretted spending the money on it, especially because it’s lasted me well over 20 years. It’s an appliance I use all the time and it was well worth the price.
