Welcome to Raising Ten Kids. I’m so happy you’re here!
I lost my parents at a young age. My younger sister and I lived with our grandparents. I used to watch The Brady Bunch and loved their big family. I loved how they interacted and how much fun they had together. After I married my college sweetheart, Del, we started our family.
I loved having babies and felt like each one added so much to our growing family. I am now the mother of ten children.
Yes, I gave birth to each one. No twins. And no drugs. I have four boys and six girls ranging in age from 31 down to 13. Five of my kids are married and I have eight grandkids. I LOVE having my big family!
WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE
I believe children are such a blessing in our lives and I want to help other moms enjoy every moment of their parenting journey by sharing my experiences, tips, advice, and even my mistakes.
Being a mom has enriched my life and taught me so many things. While I do have a bachelor’s degree in Communications, I believe my experience in the “school of hard knocks” in raising ten distinct, unique individuals is far more valuable than what I learned in college.
I want Raising Ten Kids to be the go-to website for moms for practical help and entertaining posts on raising kids.
Though I have raised most of my kids into adulthood, I am still raising children, including one with special needs. From sports to drama to piano lessons to dance to homework to meals to laundry to family time together, I think my experience runs the gamut and I hope I can help others navigate the sometimes turbulent waters of motherhood.
I want to share time-saving tips and real-life experiences to help moms realize we’re all in this together. And, most importantly, we don’t have to be perfect!
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
